Kansas Rocks

Even with frigid temperatures, snow, ice, sleet and lots of mud the event was a huge success.  We got to see lots of old friends and make many new ones.  With over 450 people and 230 rigs there was no shortage of people to wheel with.  Thanks to all the volunteers, vendors, and KS Rocks for a great event.

The Toyota put on a great show and took first in the technical challenge.  Other than a bent leaf spring and possibly a bent front housing the Toyota took everything in stride.  Erin’s Willy’s Jeep on the other hand did not fair as well.  A broken stub, long side axle, u-joint and driveshaft u-joint put the jeep out for the day.  Hopefully with some steering adjustments and new parts the Jeep will be back at it again.

This trip was a great break from the long nights working on the buggy.  As soon as we got back and unloaded, work on the buggy continued.  We’re still planning to have it at the Big Meats run in Disney, OK on March 15th.

Team RockWild debuted new “RockWild Apparel” and Co2 cannon.  The shirts were a big hit and the cannon got tons of attention.

This was our first event to set up a booth for our sponsors.  The booth was a huge hit; we were in a great location where everyone had to pass by.  We ran out of sponsor information, sold T-shirts and got to talk to tons of people about our sponsors’ products.
